/ Setting INTENTIONS

GETTING CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT

Everything in our lives starts with an intention. An intention is a guiding principle for how you want to be, live, and show up in the world. It’s not the same as a goal, which typically has an endpoint or an expectation of success. Setting intentions helps to bring our beliefs, emotions, and actions into alignment. Setting intentions is not just about tangible, physical things, it's also about how you operate internally..  First check in with mind, body, spirit, and really accept and access what it is that you are seeking. Part of that ritual is finding moments of gratitude for things that have happened. Gratitude is a very important part of the intention-setting process because if you're always in a state of want—and not seeing the beauty in your life—you're in a constant state of scarcity. Once you have focused on the feelings from your gratitude practice, it’s time to declare your intention(s). Take 5-10 minutes to sit quietly and think about (or meditate on) your current mental state and needs. Your intentions come together to help you live an intentional life. When you’re ready, journal or write on a sheet of paper the following sentence: “I am” Here is a few examples:

“I am to create radical change in the world.”

“I am to create radical change in the world.”

You should revisit your intentions often and when needed. Call it to the center of your mind and heart when you feel off and need to reset.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your intentions is that it’s going to continue to evolve.
